Priyadarshni Academy felicitated the visiting Russian volley ball and swimming teams at the Radio Club on 20th of March. The Russian Consul General, Mr. V.N. Egorov and Minister for Education of Maharashtra Chandrika Kenia, were present on the occasion.

Narendra Hirwani, the "Man of the Match" in the Sharjah one-day tournament, was felicitated for his superb performance by the Academy at a special function held at the Supper Club, Hotel Oberoi, on 8th April. He was presented a cheque for Rs. 10,000/- and a medal.

The Academy announced scholarships, each worth Rs. 5,000/- in English and Hindi, in honour of   Fr. Aurelius   Maschio,  to be given to candidates opting for teaching careers in Hindi and English. To attract intellectuals to the teaching profession, the Academy's education committee decided to grant scholarships to B.Ed. students.
