Mr. Nanik Rupani released the inaugural issue of ACE Letter edited by Mr. Anant Pai and published by Lalit Media and Education Ltd. at a function held on August 19, 2006. He was also the Chief Guest at the Panel Discussion on "When and How of Value Education".

Mr. Rupani delivered the Welcome Address at the International Conference on Indian Dyestuffs Industry on September 21 and 22, 2006 organised by The Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry in Mumbai. The theme of the Conference was: Strategies for Globalisation and increasing competitiveness of the Indian Dyestuffs Industry

Sadguru Mangeshda Kriya Yoga Foundation has conferred its first Kriyasheel Global Award on Mr. Nanik Rupani, Chairman, Priyadarshni Academy at a glittering felicitation function organized by the Foundation on October 24, 2006 at Bhaidas Hall, Vile-Parle. He has been honoured for his "tremendous administrative and leadership qualities" as a businessman and philanthropist.

Mr. Rupani, was the Keynote Speaker at SIMERGENCE-2006 organised by Sydenham Institute of Management Studies and Research and Entrepreneurship Education on November 7, 2006 in Mumbai. The theme of the event was: India Inc.: On the path of conquest of the world.

Priyadarshni Academy supported the Inter-Disciplinary Seminar on Symmetry organized by the Teachers' Academic Forum under the aegis of Jai Hind College, Mumbai on November 18, 2006. Mr. Nanik Rupani, Co-Chairman, Western Regional Council, FICCI was invited for the reception ceremony of the Korean Products Show organized by the Korea Trade Investment Promotion Agency, (KOTRA) in Mumbai on November 22, 2006. He also delivered a speech focusing on enhancing trade and economic relations between India and Korea.

Priyadarshni Academy facilitated the performance of a Hindi Play titled Hiroshima Ki Kahani at the I2IT campus in Pune on March 4, 2007. The play was directed by Prof. Tomio Mizokami of Osaka University, Japan.

Mr. Nanik Rupani chaired the Interactive Business Meet on Agriculture organized by FICCIWRC and conducted by H. E. Ms. Mariann Fischer Boel, European Union Commissioner for Agriculture and Rural Development.

Priyadarshni Academy organized a book launch on the occasion of Priyadarshni Academy's 23rd Annual Literary Awards and Scholarships Function on March 22, 2007 at the IMC Hall. A spiritual novel entitled 'The Cave of Freedom' written by V. Radhakrishnan and published by Konark Publishers Pvt. Ltd. , Delhi was released on the occasion.

Priyadarshni Academy participated in the Human Chain organised by the Manch Mumbai Citizens in association with other NGOs to protest against the destruction of mangroves and saltpans on the eve of World Environment Day. Priyadarshni Academy presented Awards to three prominent writers in Hindi, Marathi and Sindhi languages at the 24th Annual Literary Awards and Scholarships Function. 93 Educational Scholarships were also presented to the meritorious and deserving students.
