Priyadarshni Academy’s 20th Anniversary Literary Awards and Scholarship Function was held at Rama Watumull Auditorium, K. C. College, Churchgate, Mumbai on March 24, 2004. The Programme was a great success.
The Literary Awards and Scholarship Function of Priyadarshni Academy is a highly prestigious event as it marks the deep commitment of the Academy to recognize and honour the intellectuals from the Literary fields in the languages of Hindi, Marathi, Sindhi and Gujrati.
We were privileged to have Smt. Jayawantiben Mehta, Union Minister of State for Power, Government of India to grace this solemn occasion as the Chief Guest.
The Evening commenced with the traditional Lighting of the Lamp Ceremony. Floral tributes were presented to our distinguished guests Smt. Jayawantiben Mehta, Union Minister of State for Power, Government of India, Shri Ramesh Tulsiani, Shri Vishwanath Sachdev, Shri Suresh Kotak, Shri Harkishan Udani, Shri Niranjan Hiranandani and Shri Murli Adnani.

Mr. Nanik Rupani Chairman, Priyadarshni Academy, congratulated the Literary Awardees for the year 2004.
Smt. Jayawantiben Mehta, Union Minister of State for Power, Government of India presented a Trophy and Cash Award of Rs.25,000/- to our eminent Awardees in the 4 leading languages of India.

The Prof. Ram Panjwani Memorial Sindhi Literary Award was presented to Dr. Moti Prakash for his Literary works. |

Priyadarshni Academy also presented a Trophy and Cash prize of Rs.10,000/- to Dr. (Mrs.) S. Anand for promotion of Research in Sindhi Culture.
The Awardees responded with their gratitude and appreciation to Priyadarshni Academy for this honour bestowed on them. Each speaker enthralled the Audience as they spoke in the language for which they were awarded the prestigious Literary Award.
Priyadarshni Academy also encouraged and assisted outstanding students to excel in their fields of education with 28 Scholarships of Rs.10,000/- each in the fields of Engineering & IT, Medical, and B.Ed. that were presented at the function.
The Vote of thanks given by Shri Murli Adnani, Chairman, Sindhi Literary Awards Committee, served as a conclusion to a wonderful evening of literary appreciation.
